Can I speak highly enough for Network Configuration Manager, I do not think I can, but I will try. This product from SolarWinds is outstanding. Not only does it back up all configurations on our Network devices, but it does compliance checks against our rule sets to make sure we are not missing anything in the configuration. This product by SolarWinds is outstanding in my opinion.
- What was life like before using SolarWinds? (Include what you were using and why you decided it was time for a change): We had to manually backup all configurations and then check over 300 configurations for policy problems in the configuration.
- Which SolarWinds product(s) saved your bacon? Network Configuration Manager (NCM)
- Did you consider other options, and why did you choose SolarWinds? We looked at Cisco products and other software out there, but discovered that NCM integrates well with the products we currently have. And is very easy to use.
- How has life been since you've rolled out SolarWinds in your environment? Since rolling out NCM life can not get any easier. No more manually downloading over 300 configurations and spending weeks going through these configurations for policy problems. Now NCM does it all for us and then notifies us if there is a policy problem.
